Magic Kingdom area · Deluxe
Disney's Contemporary Resort & Bay Lake Tower
The monorail runs through the building — the only hotel in the world where you can walk from your room to Magic Kingdom in under 10 minutes.
Who it’s for
- Magic Kingdom superfans who want the fastest possible access
- Modern architecture and design enthusiasts
- Chef Mickey's fans (the beloved character breakfast lives here)
- Bay Lake Tower DVC seekers who want Deluxe villa pricing
Who it’s NOT for
- Guests on a budget — Contemporary is premium-priced without grand Victorian charm
- EPCOT or Hollywood Studios focused trips (monorail doesn't go there)
- Families who want a resort that feels like a Disney fairy tale — the modernist design is polarizing

Underrated feature
The 4th-floor concourse overlook is a lesser-known spot to watch Magic Kingdom fireworks — no ticket required, just walk up and find a railing spot.
The gotcha
Garden Wing rooms are significantly cheaper but in a separate building with bus-only access to Magic Kingdom — no monorail. Make sure you're booking a Tower room if the monorail matters to you.
